HBMH Charity of the Quarter: “Helping for the Holidays”

Angel Tree_2015

It is truly the season for giving! Our “Helping for the Holidays” Charity was a success, as always. We’ve gathered such an awesome collection of gifts for our Salvation Army Angels. These gits will be given to the Salvation Army and prepared/distributed as gifts to children in need.

Thank you for helping these precious children have a wonderful Christmas this year!

Special “THANKS” to Mr. and Mrs. Edge for bringing our Giving Tree to life! They inspired and created this new addition to our school, to help raise funds for our overall growth and improvement.

So far, we’ve raised over $600 in donations!

Now is your chance to participate. Purchase your leaf on the Giving Tree, and forever be a part of HBMH. You can purchase for your family, child, grandchild, business, etc. If it’s for your family, you’re welcome to write a private quote, or “well wishes” for the school. If it’s for your business, give us your logo/slogan, and we’ll proudly post it. You’ll forever be a part of the HBMH legacy!

Leaves will be sold in different shapes and sizes for $25, $50, $75, and $100. As of right now, all donations will be put towards the backyard renovations and improvements.

Thank you to our parent community for your continued generosity and support!

Charity of the Quarter: “Helping for the Holidays”

As part of our Charity of the Quarter, “Helping for the Holidays”, we’ve adopted two precious angels from the Salvation Army Angel Tree. We’ve asked all our families to participate by donating gifts and clothing for these children in order to help make this holiday memorable for them. This is always our most popular charity of the year!

“Charity” has always been a large part of our school community; it’s amazing to witness our families come together and prepare donations for those in need. We believe it’s important to instill a sense of charity and generosity in all our children, in order to help them become responsible, caring members of society. This is truly the season for giving! We encourage everyone to participate in the Angel Tree Charity, and give to those in need!

World Food Day, October 16

This month was dubbed “World Hunger Prevention” Month at HBMH, in honor of World Food Day, October 16. All throughout the month, our students have been learning about ways we can prevent world hunger. Among many things, we hosted a canned food drive to collect donations for those in need; our charity chest is overflowing with food! Charity is a key component to the foundation of our school, and something that we celebrate every day. Our children learn a strong sense of community at a very early age, practicing grace and courtesy through each act of charitable kindness. Similar to Dr. Montessori’s beliefs, in order to create a better future and end world hunger, we must start with the children.

Pictured below: our young toddler friends dropping off their donations at the charity chest. Thank you, friends!
