Sherri Ewing-Simmons
My Baby-N-Me is a program to equip parents, and other caregivers, to provide a supportive environment following the natural development of infants and toddlers. My background in early childhood education has been influenced by the principles Maria Montessori developed to support the potential in each child during the most explosive period of growth, conception to 3 years. However, my passion for early childhood education grew out of my own experiences as a mother and mentor, realizing the need to equip adults with a logical approach in caring for infants and toddlers. My Baby-N-Me will offer classes for parents and early childhood educators. Knowledge that is practical in its approach with an appreciation for the importance of the first years of life.
Making the most of baby’s first years!

Greetings from Kentucky!
It’s hard to imagine that I have completed 1/3 of the first of 4 semesters. This is an interesting experience being immersed in early childhood from the traditional position! I have already spent many hours in traditional classroom settings. Although, these observations create a deeper appreciation for my years practicing Montessori, I must report I’ve witnessed teachers deeply committed to providing the best possible learning experience for the children in their care. In this we share a common bond.
In May 2016 I will accomplish a goal left behind many years ago, 36 to be exact. What I didn’t expect, is My Baby-n-Me will not be put on-hold. Added to my studies, which are rigorous, over the next year and a half, I will launch the pilot My Baby-n-Me Mentor Training Program and participate in the implementation of Montessori in an orphanage and early childhood school in South America. I’ll share more details as that project unfolds.
Who knew I needed a temporary relocation to see long term dreams blossom? Of course my lens is narrowly focused on the B.S. and MMEd. which officially qualifies me to pour into Montessori teacher trainees in AMS teacher training centers across the country and abroad.
I am grateful to all who have offered faithful encouragement and unending “At-a-Girls”!
Embracing the process,
Sherri

To Whom It May Concern,
My name is Kathy Jacobs and I had the pleasure of working with Sherri at Castle Hills Montessori in Carrollton a few years ago. Is it possible to please give my email address to Sherri? I will be a toddler consultant at Wonderland Montessori in Irving and I would love her advice. My email is katgjacobs@sbcglobal.net and my cell number is 214-232-0144. Thank you so much.
